Esther Kim, M.D., F.A.R.S.
Esther Kim, M.D., F.A.R.S., is a board-certified otolaryngologist and sub-specialty trained Rhinologist and Anterior Skullbase surgeon. A retired Colonel in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, she currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Kim earned her B.S. in Chemistry and Life Science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and her M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a fellowship in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She brings more than 20 years of military and medical experience, with past roles including Director of Rhinology at Walter Reed and Assistant Deputy Commander of Clinical Services at Martin Army Community Hospital. Her clinical expertise includes sinus and skull base surgery, allergy and immunotherapy, and office-based nasal and sinus procedures.
Dr. Kim is a Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society and an active member of multiple professional organizations. Her awards include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Surgeon General’s “A” Proficiency Designator.
She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and frequently presents at national and international meetings. She has also taught numerous courses on office-based rhinology and sinus procedures. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She loves traveling and volunteering with various organizations.
