Facial Implants

Tired of going into the office for fillers? Looking for a more permanent result?

Facial implants are synthetic materials that are surgically placed to enhance volume/structure, commonly in chin/jaw, cheeks, temples and tear troughs. Often times the implant(s) can be placed in-office, but sometimes placement is better achieved in the OR.

What can I expect before and after facial implants?

Before:

  • Thorough consultation with Drs. Pham or Goodrich, with medical grade photography
  • If dermal fillers are present in area of concern, will need to completely dissolve before proceeding with surgery
  • Avoid NSAIDs/blood thinning medications/supplements 2 weeks pre-operatively

After:

  • Incisions to place the implants are generally well hidden
  • Depending on location of implant, may need to wear compressive dressing for 2 weeks after procedure
  • Due to swelling, the area will appear overcorrected for several weeks/months
